A little slow today…

October 28, 2008

Everyone has drawbacks. I got a new computer and sorting things out. Hey, I got a few new for ya

First things first. Toys “R” US is going to give away a level 50 dragonite to all the kids with Diamond and Pearl. Also you need to get a mystery gift option. This is a unique way to show off because it will show that you are a true pokemon fan if you have a level 50 dragonite without cheating. That is because the only normal way to get dragonair is to level it at level 55. Also this includes Puerto Rico.

Also if you live in Australia, Target is going to give out Darkrai in the early days of November. The Darkrai is at Level 50, is in a Cherish Ball and is holding an Enigma Berry and a Classic Ribbon. The ribbon prohibits the Darkrai from being traded over the Global Trade Station. The Darkrai knows Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, Nightmare and Hypnosis.

Also if you want a mystery gift, the steps are here.

1) Go to the Jubilife TV station in Jubilife City.
2) Go to the 3rd floor.
3) Talk to the man in the lower room (he’s on the left).
4) The first two words you tell him are “everyone” and “happy“.
5) the second two words are “Wi-Fi” and “Connection“.
6) This will then unlock the Mystery Gift feature on the main menu.

NOTE: Some of the above words may not be available right away. Be sure you can go into a Pokecenter basement before trying this.

The Mystery Gift feature has three options:

1) Get from a Friend.
2) Get via Wireless.
3) Get via Nintendo WFC.

Until then, keep looking for zigzagoons!

Pokedex- Pokemon of the Week

October 14, 2008

Okay, I really am delayed with the Pokemon of the Week but I wil tell you one thing. The pokedex in this blog will probably be delayed. I don’t have much time with all this school stuff but I can tell you one thing, and I’m finding an author that has the time to do the Pokedex. I know that if I put it in this post there will be only a few people reading it and even wanting to do the job so I’m going to do a small “treasure hunt” to find the author.

Until then see this nice Vulpix.

Until then, keep looking for zigzagoons!

Pokemon Platinum becomes a record breaker.

October 7, 2008

That’s right, a record breaker. Guess what for? Uh… let me think… maybe its just because it sold 1.47 million copies in three weeks. Yes. Its not a lie. In three weeks. Pokémon Platinum has sold 1.47 million copies since its Sept. 13 release in Japan, according to Media Create game rankings for Sept 22-28. The game slipped to number two in Japanese sales after the Sept. 25 release of Super Robot Wars Z.

While Super Robot Wars Z, a Play Station 2 Game, sold 366,000 units its first weekend, Platinum sold 195,000 in the same time span. Platinum sold approximately 1 million copies its first weekend, becoming the fastest-selling Nintendo DS game ever.

Renovation of the DS.

October 3, 2008

From the old plain bulky ds, to the new ds lite, they are now having a third change of a ds. This might be off topic, but it might bring some cool games later on that are about pokemon.

Introducing the Nintendo DSi, basically a nintendo DS but it is smaller, lighter, bigger screens, and better speakers. It features two built-in 0.3 megapixel cameras, one on the bottom-right corner of the cover facing out and one on the hinge facing in, where the microphone is located on the DS Lite.

Another cool feature is that the DSi is also an mp3 player and can store music into it. And even all its media content will be stored on an SD memory card. It even comes with a web browser! Finally, you’ll be able to download software directly through an online Nintendo store. So it will be kinda like a Ipod touch with other softwares you can do such as games, camera, and other things that you will just love. The photo mode is also great with great image caption and will be like an actual camera. The Nintendo DSi will be released in Japan on November 1st this year at a price of 18,900 yen (or about $180), and will be released outside of Japan in 2009.

Features

There is many fun features in the new DSi, such as the Niteru-Do feature were the DSi takes a picture of two people next to each other and tell you how much alike they look.

Another cool feature is that the DSi camera also lets you digitally manipulate the image of someone’s face using the touch pen. It also lets you combine or mold different faces together.

Bad Points

To make the handheld console thin, Nintendo took away the slot for Game Boy Advance games. No longer can GBA games be played on DS and DS games that use the GBA slot can’t be used on DSi but a new range of DSi-only games are likely to appear so this could make up for the difference.

Sources: Pokemon Dream, PC World

P.S. Also from the picture above, you cannot really see how thin the DSi looks like. Let me show you.

LOL yep its thin alright.

Until then, keep looking for zigzagoons!
