Lugia, the Diving Pokemon, is found in SoulSilver within the depths of Whirl Island after you drive Team Rocket off in GoldenRod. It is Psychic and Flying with some water attacks so it is suggested to be prepared well. It will become available later in Heart Gold at a point.
Ho-oh, the Phoenix Pokemon, is found in HeartGold at the top of Tin Tower after driving off Team Rocket in Goldenrod. It is a Fire and Flying Pokemon. It will be available in SoulSilver at a later point.
In the Brass Tower, you will meet a character named Eusine. He will tell you about the Three Legendary Beasts who live in the Brass Tower. One time, they were caught in the fire that burned it down until Ho-oh brought them back to life. You will later meet them in the basement of the Brass Tower where they will quickly disbaqnd and roam across Johto’s grasses.
As said earlier, you will soon unlock Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina. You can choose one and one only.
Later in the game, after you defeat the Elite Four, you can capture Groudon or Kyogre, depending on the game. Once you bring both Groudon and Kyogre together, Rayquaza will appear.

The Pokegear has a phone, a map card, and a radio card.
The phone calls are vital in this game. You can call people and receive calls on the phone.
The map card is the same as any other game’s map, but you can now list what Pokemon you’ve found there, what berry or apricorn trees there are, any special buildings, TMs, or any other notes. You can find Suicine, Entei, and Raikou using the map.
The Radio Card allows you to listen to radio broadcasts from Goldenrod’s Radio Tower. It provides music and tips/interviews of in-game characters.
